Deep and Wide rapport - what is it all about?

There exist two types of rapport generally if you read articles about that topic. 

Why WIDE Rapport Has Its Place

"WIDE Rapport" means to have not only one but a variety of topics.
And each topic you and your conversational partner might dive in slightly.
So this is about having some conversation which is widely spread in terms of related things being talked about.

Where DEEP Rapport comes in

"DEEP" refers to having a deep conversation on one of these topics and all that is emotionally related to it.

Having a conversation like this makes you stand out because it doesn't neccessarily happen on a regular basis.

If you are able to communicate genuinely and you bring this out in one person this will help you a lot to lead the conversation and enjoy the talk on both sides.
Establishing a talk going down this road will bring out a more intimate side in a person if done correctly.

Be very present when listening to another person. Be very aware of each detail that is said. On both sides and how they might relate to each other.
What you will notice is at first you have to talk a lot more than her in general. Later this will turn around. Maybe you're even silent and your conversation partner is just talking to you without seeming to stop ever again.

If you stick to this road this person might tell you more intimate things.
This could be what freedom means, about dreams in life or visions or also about character traits or their value system.

Normally you won't get that from wide rapport. 
Only from deep rapport.

Things might move on to even deeper experiences that happened for the first time in life and changed something forever.
You might get there fast or during a longer time.
